Tessa helps pick peas

I asked if I could go along to pick peas today. I was taken to the garden in the bucket. What a fun ride that was!

Look at all those peas on the fence! We have alot of picking to do!

Here's a Pea! I'll pick this one and put it in the bucket.

Oooh, here are some more peas to pick! This is fun!

I found out Buddy likes peas too, he ate three of them from my hand! He was so gentle with me.

We picked alot of peas! Wow! I got to ride back to the house inside the bucket with the peas. I munched on a few of the smaller ones. shhhhh

And then we snipped the ends off alll the peas after they were washed. I got to snip the little ones. I ate a few more. *giggle*

We then blanched the peas in very hot water, I got to see inside the big pot. It was HOT hanging over the side..whew. I think I'll just stay away from this pot.
We ran this loud machine to pack the peas tight into bags. I asked if I could push the button, and she said 'yes'! I would push the button and then plug my ears!

I got to help lay all the packages in the freezer. And then I saw this box.. it was a yummy looking box and I asked if we could have that pie for dessert. Mmm mmm, I was told that since I worked so hard today we could have this pie for dessert. And look, theres topping to go with it! I LIKE working in the garden.
